What “Research Use Only” Means

Research library

Every product on this site carries the same statement: for laboratory research use only, not for human consumption. It is not small print. It describes exactly what these compounds are and how they are supplied.

Research compounds are not registered medicines

In South Africa, medicines for human use are evaluated and registered by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA). Registration means a product has been assessed for safety, quality and effectiveness for a specific use, with approved dosing and labelling. Research peptides have not been through that process for human use. They are supplied to support laboratory work: analysis, method development and in vitro and preclinical studies.

Why we publish certificates instead of claims

Because these are research materials, the most useful thing a supplier can give a researcher is evidence of what is in the vial. That is why every tested batch links to its Certificate of Analysis, showing identity, purity and the date it was tested. Our guide on how to read a COA explains each section.

What you will not find on this site

You will not find dosing instructions, injection guides, treatment claims or before-and-after promises here. The research library summarises published scientific literature about each compound. It describes what has been studied, not what a product will do for you.

Handling research materials

Research peptides should be handled by people trained to work with them, in line with their institution's safety procedures. Keep products sealed and stored according to the guidance supplied with each product, away from children and unauthorised use.
